Visualization of posterior horn of medial meniscus

Suboptimal arthroscopic visualization of posterior horn of medial meniscus is more often the result of inadequate technique rather than a tight joint space. As most lesions of the medial meniscus involve the posterior horn, optimal visualization of the same needs to be ensured by applying valgus stress in 5-10 degrees of knee flexion.
