Instrument portal problem

Change in the flexion angle of the knee causes a relative shifting of capsule ,subcutaneous tissue and skin making it difficult or impossible to reinsert the instrument particularly in case of figure of four position of knee. Therefore the joint should first be returned to the position in which the instrument portal was made before re-inserting the instrument.
